Our preschool program uses the Creative Curriculum for Preschool which was written in alignment with the Ohio Early Learning and Content Standards.
Preschoolers enjoy child-centered activities in math, science, pre-reading, pre-writing, art and computers. Every day starts off with Circle Time, which includes song, music, show and tell, poems and group discussions. This morning meeting is the perfect time to introduce and explore thematic contents. Staff uses “the intentional teaching approach” by making observations and notes throughout the day about your child’s interest, and developmental stages. This information is used to plan developmentally appropriate curriculum for each child.
The staff maintains an assessment portfolio for each child, which tracks developmental progress using photographs checklists and work sample, screenings and assessments. Children’s assessment portfolios are stored in the classroom and are always available for parents to review.
Our Preschool program offers:
- Large classrooms with 11 different leaning centers
- Encourage self help skills such as dressing, pouring milk, serving meals, etc.
- Technology I pads, computers, Leap Frog
- Students learn problem solving, conflict resolution
